Notice from KCC re One-Way trail

MESSAGE FROM KCC HIGHWAYS REGARDING THE ONE WAY TRAIL - DEC 2022

Following discussions with Wouldham Parish Council and Burham Parish Council, Kent County Council (KCC) has been working towards developing a highway improvement scheme to address residents’ concerns with traffic volumes on High Street, Wouldham. We have been and will continue to listen to the concerns raised and are preparing a scheme to be trialled and funded by KCC.

At present, we anticipate a scheme will be introduced using an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order. This will allow us to hold a full public consultation while the trial is taking place, enabling us to listen to residents of both Wouldham and Burham who will be able to give their views on how the scheme is working, and allow us to make any appropriate changes that might be needed. We will write to residents and set up a dedicated webpage, providing information on the scheme, including details of the options that have been considered, and a questionnaire for people to give their views.

We hope to begin the trial and public consultation in May/June 2023.
