An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Youth and Community Worker to join our Parish team using devolved funding from Tonbridge and Malling Borough Councils S106 scheme.
The Youth and Community Worker
will be responsible for delivering a programme of activities in a range of
community settings across Wouldham and Snodland through the provision of youth
led projects and informal activities to meet the needs of both children and
adults in the community.
The successful candidate
will be able to drive the minibus with a D1 licence, have an NVQ or equivalent

If you would like to know more, please see job description and person
specification.
Tonbridge and Malling BC’s health walks have been rebranded as Walk 4 Wellbeing.
They currently have 8 walks across the borough and I have identified some communities that are not adequately served by these free group walks.
They would love to be able to set one up in the Wouldham area if possible, but that would rely upon them being able to recruit and train some local volunteers for it.
Residents from Burham and Wouldham inc. Peters Village can now apply for membership to use the Community Minibus.
Compaid will provide a weekly community bus service for residents of Wouldham and Burham on the following basis:
Monday To Strood * Tuesday To Hempstead * Wednesday To Chatham * Thursday To Strood
Compaid will employ a trained and qualified driver four days a week to operate this service and will handle bookings from registered members up to 7 days in advance (lines open Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 4.00pm)
Volunteer drivers needed to help with additional day trips.

MESSAGE FROM KCC HIGHWAYS REGARDING THE ONE WAY TRAIL - DEC 2022
Following discussions with Wouldham Parish Council and Burham Parish Council, Kent County Council (KCC) has been working towards developing a highway improvement scheme to address residents’ concerns with traffic volumes on High Street, Wouldham. We have been and will continue to listen to the concerns raised and are preparing a scheme to be trialled and funded by KCC.
At present, we anticipate a scheme will be introduced using an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order. This will allow us to hold a full public consultation while the trial is taking place, enabling us to listen to residents of both Wouldham and Burham who will be able to give their views on how the scheme is working, and allow us to make any appropriate changes that might be needed. We will write to residents and set up a dedicated webpage, providing information on the scheme, including details of the options that have been considered, and a questionnaire for people to give their views.
We hope to begin the trial and public consultation in May/June 2023.
